Furthering this exploration into the time and labor behind crochet, an additional ‘step’ to this project was to trace the borders of the ‘charcoal or white marker drawings’, generating an organic form that is similar to the contour of the drawings. This contour form was then crocheted, creating a new outcome and visual language from the drawings, a new perspective for exploring the dimensions of the labor behind this art form.
